Furnish and Install Fire Alarm System II

The Township of West Orange is soliciting bids for the Furnishing and Installation of a Fire Alarm System II. This project involves upgrading the existing fire alarm system to be NFPA 72 compliant, including the installation of a new fire alarm panel, remote annunciator, communicator, smoke detectors, horn/strobes, LED emergency exit lights, fire-rated metal doors, magnetic door holders, visual alarm lights for the hearing impaired, and associated wiring. Bidders must comply with all relevant state and federal regulations, including affirmative action and equal employment opportunity requirements. Site inspections are recommended. Bids were originally due March 25, 2020, but have been postponed and will now be received on July 7, 2020. Bidders are required to submit a bid bond or certified check for ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, not to exceed $20,000.00. The township reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Key requirements include architectural drawings, certifications, system training, warranties, permits, and final testing and inspections.
