Law Enforcement Behavioral Health Specialist for Mental Health Collaboration Grant

The Township of West Orange is soliciting proposals for a Law Enforcement Behavioral Health Specialist to assist crisis intervention trained officers in addressing individuals with mental health or co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse disorders. The specialist will be part of a project team to develop and document a Justice and Mental Health Collaboration strategy, including policy review, data tracking system development, and training recommendations. Key qualifications include being licensed in New Jersey as an LCSW or comparable, familiarity with CALEA policies, CIT training, and experience working with law enforcement and mental health associations. Proposals must be submitted by Friday, June 14, 2019, at 4:00 PM.
