Municipal Alliance Health Insurance Fund RFQ

The Township of West Orange, in conjunction with Bloomfield, is seeking Statements of Qualifications for various professional services for their newly formed Municipal Alliance Health Insurance Fund (MAHIF). The MAHIF, established under N.J.S.A. 40A:10-36, requires legal expertise to provide advice to the Commissioners and Executive Committee, assist fund administrators, coordinate litigation, and ensure compliance with regulations such as HIPAA. Key responsibilities include legal counsel, reporting, and assisting with administrative functions. Applicants must demonstrate experience in municipal or health benefit joint insurance funds, particularly with Bloomfield and West Orange, and a strong knowledge base in healthcare provider networks and relevant statutes. In addition to Fund Attorney, RFQs are also being sought for Fund Actuary, Fund Administrator, Fund Auditor, Fund Treasurer, and Fund Third Party Administrator. All responses must be submitted in sealed envelopes by the close of business on August 29, 2014, to Ted Ehrenburg, Business Administrator, Township of Bloomfield.
