Public Information Officer 2022

The Township of West Orange is seeking a Public Information Officer on a part-time, independent contractor basis for a 12-month contract. The role involves coordinating media inquiries, facilitating emergency communications, and maintaining the Township website. Key responsibilities include acting as the direct media contact, handling press conferences, communicating with the public through various media, assisting with emergency communications as an OEM team member, writing press releases, managing email blasts and social media, updating the website, attending committee and council meetings, and taking photos at events. The Township will provide necessary hardware and software. Proposals should include experience, references, and cost, and are due by March 18, 2022.
