Request for Proposal for the Private Collection Agency of Municipal Court Debt

The Township of West Orange is seeking proposals from qualified private collection agencies to manage and collect outstanding municipal court debt. This initiative aligns with New Jersey Supreme Court procedures for private debt collection. The selected agency will be responsible for all aspects of debt collection, including contacting debtors, managing accounts, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, such as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). Bidders must demonstrate at least three years of experience in debt collection for government agencies and provide comprehensive qualifications, references, and financial statements.
