RFP FOR ARCHITECTURAL HISTORIAN

The Township of West Orange, through its Historic Preservation Commission, is seeking proposals from qualified Architectural Historians. The selected historian will conduct an intensive-level architectural survey of at least 111 historic resources within specified neighborhoods of West Orange. This survey will document properties, evaluate their historical significance, and assess their potential eligibility for historic district inclusion. The work must adhere to the New Jersey Historic Preservation Office's Guidelines for Architectural Survey, utilizing provided database applications and GIS data. Deliverables include detailed survey forms, photography, GIS mapping, and a comprehensive report. Proposals are due by December 7, 2022, at 11:00 AM. The submission package can be obtained in person or online. All proposers must comply with New Jersey's Affirmative Action requirements and possess a New Jersey Business Registration Certificate.
