Township Public Information Officer

The Township of West Orange is seeking quotations for the services of a Public Information Officer. This part-time, independent contractor role involves coordinating media inquiries, facilitating emergency communications, and maintaining the Township website. Key responsibilities include serving as the primary contact for media, handling press conferences, communicating with the public, writing press releases, managing social media, updating the website, and promoting township events. The contract term is anticipated to be between 12 and 16 months, with compensation based on an annual salary paid monthly.
